I find it hard to believe a mere rear bumper replacement on a 2012 Cadillac SRX was that much money, and everyone I have explained the situation to also agrees. My insurance sent me a letter basically saying this is my problem not theirs, and I really have no clue how to pay this seeing as how I am a college student who can barely afford my food with no help from family. I do not know if I should try disputing the amount, asking for an itemized statement of what charges exactly make up the $4000, or just accept it and try to get in a payment plan. I've been driving with this plan for nearly 2 years and never been in an accident before, so this situation is all new. I know insurance companies normally argue over who is at fault and what exactly to pay, but seeing as how mine won't be doing any of that is there any role for me to play in making this bill smaller?
